Introducing the WOWI Junior Scholars Program
"Unlocking potential, one argument at a time."
We are finally expanding to a year-long program, and our goal is to create a strong foundation for students before 9th grade (specifically 6th to 8th grade). This program will run from September through the end of May during the 2026-2027 school year. So what do we offer?
Each session will be 1 hour and 30 minutes long over Zoom.
The program will be capped at 20 students with 5 quality instructors led by myself (SunHee Simon - you may find my bio on our faculty page).
The ratio will be 1 staff member to 4 students (just like camp) ensuring drill opportunities and individualized attention.
A dedicated tournament calendar + help registering for tournaments
Access to judging (at an additional cost)
The ability to book 1:1 additional time (at an additional cost)
The ability to book a coach for an entire tournament weekend for pre-round coaching (at an additional cost)
We are not your average middle school debate program. That's because this program is for the following people:
Students who want to develop a strong debate ability before entering high school
Groups of 3-4 students who do not have an official debate program to join in middle school
Involved parents who want dedicated feedback and updates on their kids regularly
Students who want to have experience breaking at tournaments before reaching high school
Students who want to eventually win their middle school state tournaments or win Middle School TOC/Nationals before graduating middle school
Students who want quality instruction and drills from excellent staff members who will challenge them
The cost of the program will be $300/month if you pay for the full school year ($3000) OR $350/month if paid by the semester ($1750/semester).
A registration link will be sent to those who fill out the interest form above by August 15th. Upon registration, a scheduling link will be sent out to schedule what day + time this program will take place based on the registered cohort’s availability.
If you have questions about the program before submitting this form, please feel free to email worldofwordsinstitute@gmail.com at any time.
