Jeremy "Cass" Jesse
Jeremy, also known as Cass, is a recent graduate of Royse City High School. She started Speech in her sophomore year and has since received various awards. She is a 3 time state finalist in Original oratory at the TXFA state tournament Taking 6th her first year (2024) and 2nd her Junior year (2025), and finally WINNING it all her senior year. She is a Current champion of the UT Longhorn Classic in Original Oratory. She semifinaled at Nationals in Original oratory last year taking 10th and this year hopes to make the stage. She won 4th place at the National Individual Event Tournament of Champions (The only Texas entry in finals WOOT WOOT). She has had the absolute privilege of being the president of her school's debate team. She is over the moon to have been asked to coach at this year's WOWI. She loves this activity with her whole heart and has had to fight to keep her own program alive and competing, so she knows what it's like to have a complete lack of resources, funding, or visibility in her activity. Additionally, her program hasn't been able to keep the same coach for more than a year since they were established, so she knows what it's like to struggle with inconsistent coaching. She hopes to stoke the already roaring flames of passion in the people who attend the camp and provide unshakable foundations for this season of competitors. She will be an instructor in the speech division!
